About the exhibition
ceramic brussels 2026
At Ceramic Brussels 2026, artist Réjean Peytavin presents a distinctive body of work that explores the dialogue between material, texture, and space. Blurring the boundaries between object and surface, Peytavin’s practice brings together ceramic pieces and woven carpets, creating a subtle interplay between rigidity and softness.
His ceramics reveal a sensitive approach to form and glaze, where each piece carries traces of gesture and time. In contrast, the carpets extend this tactile language into a more flexible medium, echoing patterns and rhythms found in his sculptural work. Together, these elements form an immersive environment that invites viewers to reconsider the relationship between art, craft, and interior space.
Through this presentation, Réjean Peytavin proposes a cohesive and poetic vision in which materials respond to one another, opening new perspectives within contemporary ceramic practice.
