Born in Paris in 1995, Rémy Pommeret grew up in the Paris region, where he developed an interest in several artistic disciplines: music, theater, cinema and drawing. Interested in the natural sciences and creatures of myth or cinema since childhood, he creates his predominantly animal universe around sculpture and engraving.

During his studies at Nancy’s École Nationale Supérieure d’Art et de Design, Rémy Pommeret seized on codes historically linked to the decorative arts, hieratic art, statuary, teratology and the natural sciences to create hybrids designed to deliver dark poetry about our era: the Anthropocene.
